You are perfect!

Look at yourself in the mirror and tell yourself you are perfect. You are perfect because life has invited you into this world and has accepted you the way you are. It has provided you with the ability to make decisions, take opportunities and to reach for the stars. It has given you tears to shed to clean your soul, a smile to warm a heart and a voice to inspire. It will present you with obstacles to observe what you will do with the gifts it has given you and it will continue to GIVE to you what you SHOW to it. You are perfect because life has invited you into this world, show it respect for self and others, show it compassion for those less fortunate, show it praise for the joys in your life and show it appreciation for another day it has invited you to. You are perfect because you are LIFE!

Envying other people's lives....is ignoring ones own purpose

"Envying other people's lives is ignoring ones own purpose" is one of my favorite quotes. It just popped into my head one day and I remind myself of it when my mind wanders into "I'm not happy with my life" land. I don't believe it is wrong to admire the way someone lives their lives or what another person has. If it inspires you,I believe that person's life, whom you are admiring, has served a great purpose.
Life deals us our cards and we have to play it. Some people have better cards than others (so it seems) but what good does it to ourselves to continue to look at their cards and wish it was ours. The energy we waste on wishing we were someone else, wishing we had what someone else has and wishing we were born into a different life can be spent on making yourself a better person or making the things happen to get you to where you wish to be. You may have to work harder than some, but at the end of the day, everything we desire is worth working for; and as many believe, it is about the journey and not about the destination. Every single person has a journey to make and although some people's journey looks like they are strolling on a sandy beach, we never know what their inner struggles may be. Like the old quote says "never judge a book by its cover". Live YOUR life, enjoy YOUR journey and recognize YOUR purpose.

The Way of the World

The way of the world can be puzzling to people. With the current events in Haiti, it is only normal to question the reasoning behind such tragedy and devastation. The biggest fear to humans is the unknown and with such events, humanity tries to pull reasoning out of any which way possible.I have heard it is written in the bible this devastation. It is the beginning of the end...is it? I have heard it is the Haitian people being punished for the "pact with the devil"...is it punishment? I have heard it is an angry Mother Nature returning the abuse humanity has done to her....is it revenge? Whatever you may believe, it is the way of the world. It is the way of the world to produce earthquakes when the plate tectonics shift, it is the way of the world to produce storms that shower the green of the earth, it is the way of the world to create great waves when underwater plate tectonics shift, it is the way of the world to become cold or hot based on the tilting towards the sun. The world was here first. It has the right to have its way, humanity is here on borrowed time and we have to live and adapt to the way of the world. If we have to blame someone for such tragedy, blame the ones that failed to build infrastructure to withstand the way of the world, blame those that failed to create proper warnings to warn against the dangers of great waves, storms and extremities or if we are of greater spirit, understand the way of the world, respect the way of the world and adapt to the way of the world. Victimization will not do any of the lives lost justice, it will not improve our adaption and it will not help humanity evolve. After all, this is not the way of humanity we live in, it is the way of the world.

LIFE and GOD

I have always believed Life and God is one in the same. There is not a difference to me. When I pray to life, I am praying to God. Simple. After all, isn't GOD LIFE? I have never understood the lines drawn between the things that happen in your life and the praying to GOD to make it all work out. So, in my heart, GOD is LIFE is ME. Since I am living my LIFE, then GOD must be inside of me. So when I pray, I look inside of myself, I look to MY spirit, I look to GOD to guide me. LIFE=GOD=ME=MY SPIRIT. So instead of searching for GOD up in the sky somewhere or in some religion that tells you differently, look to yourself. Find your spirit and there you will find GOD and you will see GOD in everything that has LIFE; and maybe, just maybe, we will have more respect for one another, our earth and GOD=LIFE=ME=MY SPIRIT.
