There are many things we put out there in the universe, either through prayer, thoughts or saying them out loud. We wish for things from tangible items to big moves. However, we never think about the journey we will have to take in order for the universe to give us what we asked for. Sometimes the experiences in our lives are so complicated or tragic that we only understand them when all is done and we have come to the end of that road it has led us to.
When I am traveling down the road that I am hoping it will lead me to the place that I asked the universe for, I sometimes become doubtful or afraid that maybe the universe did not really hear me or may have not understood what I asked for....but what is the point of doubt and fear? All it does it slow us down right? So what should we do? Trust Life, trust ourselves and the prayer or question or thought we have put out to the universe; because if we can't trust life then we are empty. We are empty because the trust in life leads us to believe and to have the faith that the journey is worthwhile and will get us to the place we want to be in.

Envying other people's lives....is ignoring ones own purpose
"Envying other people's lives is ignoring ones own purpose" is one of my favorite quotes. It just popped into my head one day and I remind myself of it when my mind wanders into "I'm not happy with my life" land. I don't believe it is wrong to admire the way someone lives their lives or what another person has. If it inspires you,I believe that person's life, whom you are admiring, has served a great purpose.
Life deals us our cards and we have to play it. Some people have better cards than others (so it seems) but what good does it to ourselves to continue to look at their cards and wish it was ours. The energy we waste on wishing we were someone else, wishing we had what someone else has and wishing we were born into a different life can be spent on making yourself a better person or making the things happen to get you to where you wish to be. You may have to work harder than some, but at the end of the day, everything we desire is worth working for; and as many believe, it is about the journey and not about the destination. Every single person has a journey to make and although some people's journey looks like they are strolling on a sandy beach, we never know what their inner struggles may be. Like the old quote says "never judge a book by its cover". Live YOUR life, enjoy YOUR journey and recognize YOUR purpose.
